Schools cross-country races last week
We had a few of our younger athletes taking part in schools cross-country races last week. On Tuesday at Worth School Darcie Wickenden – one of our year 5 Sunday morning girls – ran in a year 5 race and she ran very well to come home first. In the process she finished ahead of the girl who had beaten her in our October races at East Court.
I don’t have the final results for the all-Sussex primary school races down in Brighton on Thursday but I believe that year 5 Ella de Woolf was just beaten for first place in her year 5 race while Adam Kapitan finished in the top 15 and Rowan Kirby in the top 40 in their year 6 race while a few more of our athletes did their very best in their races.
I was also reminded at this week’s Sunday morning training session that Alexander Stafford will be running in the all-England private schools cross-country races in Sheffield in a couple of weeks’ time on March 19. We wish him well.
A training reminder
A reminder that that we are now training on both Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Imberhorne Upper School. Both evenings from 6.30 to 7.30.
Summer fixtures
We will expect to send out details of our summer matches for all age-groups in the next week or 2. We do now have some of the venues and these will be included in the details.
